Punjab National Bank (PNB) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Internal Ombudsman on a contractual basis. There are a total of 02 vacancies available for this position. The selected candidates will be offered a monthly remuneration of Rs. 1.75 Lakh, subject to applicable tax deductions. Eligibility Criteria for PNB Recruitment 2025:
To apply for the Internal Ombudsman post, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a background in banking, non-banking finance, regulation, supervision, payment & settlement systems, credit information, or consumer protection.
- Experience: Candidates should have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience in the specified areas.
- Required Rank: Candidates should be a retired or serving officer (excluding Punjab National Bank/erstwhile OBC/erstwhile UNI and related parties), with a rank equivalent to a General Manager in another bank or financial regulatory body.
Age Limit:
- The maximum age limit for candidates is under 65 years at the time of application submission.
Remuneration and Benefits:
The selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 1.75 Lakh for the entire tenure, subject to tax deductions as applicable.
Tenure of Appointment:
The Internal Ombudsman will be appointed on a contractual basis for a period of three years, after which the contract will automatically terminate. There is no provision for extension or reappointment after the contract expires.
Place of Posting:
The Internal Ombudsman will be posted at PNB’s Corporate Office. However, the Bank may also assign candidates to any other location in India as per operational requirements.

The selection process for PNB Recruitment 2025 involves the following stages:
- Personal Interaction/ Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (either online or physical).
- The final selection will be based on the interview performance. The Bank reserves the right to decide the selection criteria and interview process.
- No correspondence will be entertained with candidates who are not shortlisted.
